Explore the Esplanade
Walk, rollerblade, or hire a bike and cycle along the beautiful Hervey Bay Esplanade. The 14km long shared pathway stretches from the Urangan Harbour at the eastern end of the city to Gatakers Bay in the west.
Fish from the Urangan Pier, extending 720 metres into the bay. Everything from bream and flathead to huge Spanish mackerel and giant trevally are encountered regularly.
Take a Whale watching tour
Half-day, full-day and dawn tours on a variety of vessels depart the Urangan Boat Harbour daily between May and November.
Visit the Australiana Cottage Crafts & Herb Farm and see locally made arts and crafts. Pottery, wooden toys, spinning, weaving, patchwork, wood turning, jewellery, aboriginal art, silk painting and more.

Stroll around the Botanic Gardens

Visit the Hervey Bay Historical Village & Museum and see more than 8,000 historical items, including authentic household items, clothing, wagons of early settlers and machinery.
Location: Zephyr Street, Scarness.
Reefworld Aquarium is an all natural aquarium, using only sand filtered sea water and natural sunlight. Swim with the sharks and feed the turtles. Feeding times Turtles 11am, Sharks 2pm.
